Prep: There are a ton of pieces so based on my production schedule it did take about 3 days to cut..your production mileage may vary.  ALSO note some of the pattern pieces are mirrored. 4 yards of SF101…yes you read that right and it totally worth it!

Sewing Experience:  This backpack comes together beautifully but I recommend sewing carefully.  There is a ton of bulk  in the base even with me cutting out the seam allowance which caused me to have to make a repair.  All the exterior zippers are sewn on a curve seam so take your time and be careful with your top stitching.  I do recommend using a handbag zipper as I did here.

 

 

Zippers, Zippers, Zippers this bag has several zippers but it adds to the look of of the bag. The view of the back gives you a close up of the construction as you can see its really professional looking.

 

One thing I didn’t care for is the strap adjusters are not marked on the pattern so you are guessing for the alignment.  This can definitely present a challenge on a curved bottom.

 

All in all this is a wonderful pattern and a great sew.  This is avaible in My Etsy Shop for custom order in your choice of fabrics.
