Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Why yes it did!

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Yes they were!  This is a fun pattern to make and a clever design.  Naturally there are lost of pieced so label them well.  I though it came together rather quickly but I do split up my sewing.  My husband helps me cut out the patterns…wait..what??  lol yes he takes them to work and cuts them.  I tape them together(if it’s a pdf) and take it from there.  I cut and fused one day and sew the next.  I would say sewing about 4 hours which is expected when sewing a pattern for the first time.

I agree with the 2/4 rating don’t let the amount of pieces scare you.  You got this!

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I love the idea that the billfold separates from the wallet with the magnetic snaps and this wallet is a wristlet too.

Another this is that my giant iphone 6splus fits in the zipper pocket…score!

What I would have like was a zipper pocket added for coins.  That’s the joy of sewing right you can modify to your liking!

Oh and there will be a next time:).

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

Definitely  after the holiday season I will list the Peal  in my Etsy Shop as made to order.  Love to give ladies the option to customize  and choose their own fabrics oh and I will have it with the extra zipper coin modifucation too.

Conclusion: I am super bias when it comes to Swoon Patterns.  Alicia is a brilliant designer and puts her heart in her patterns.  You never get a homemade look only handmade.  This wallet is a quick sew or a great sew for a fearless beginner.  Have fun with your fabrics and I encourage you to try the Pearl.
